Hermione de Paula - Flora’s Illuminate SS/11
Watching Herminone’s show…. ( from quite a distance), it was clear the inspiration was along the lines of flowers! I was close… Herminone’s inspiration explores the ‘sensual eroticism and sexual awakening of Flora, the goddess of flowers.’ Deep.
She explores Flora’s romance and youthful self -reflection. The clothes are delicate, floral prints, dark wispy dresses, intricate knit detail on top of print, see-through floor length dresses and high waisted trousers.
Colours included sheers, silvers, black, grey knit, pastel pinks and rich purples.
My favorite part of her collection was the combination of print and knit detail. It was an intellectual and precise decision, which made the clothes really stand out.
