NYF day eight: Only slightly impressed

Naeem Kahn took us somewhere deep and mystical for his SS/11 collection wowing the audience with floral inspired evening gowns which seemed to light the whole room.

It was certainly a sequin, embellishment spectacle with creations such as a floral bodice with an overflowing yellow dress, a black, gold & silver over-one-shoulder gown combined with jewellery made by Kahn’s wife ( Mrs.Ranjana Khan)  Short skirts, long skirts, gowns with collars, lace & feather garments. It was a real treat full of life and colour. The combination of the dresses and necklace’s really worked well together creating a magnificent collection. That’s right I went there…magnificent.

I think its so important to be inspired when you watch a designer show off there collections. Kahn stood out to me as their was so much colour and detail which makes you feel so much in ore of someones work. After all the boring whites, beige and black's I have seen from New York shows, he was a breathe of fresh air.
